Motueka RDA is a purpose built centre catering to riders of all ages and stages. We own six horses who are specially trained to assist us with providing riders with the best and safest experience.

We are run by a committee under the umbrella of the internationally recognized RDA charity. We have four paid staff including a coach, stable manager, office manager and funding officer.

The rest of our team is made up of police-vetted volunteers who we rely upon hugely to support our manager and coach.

Our centre has a large fenced arena with a soft-fall surface.

We have covered stalls for children to safely groom horses out of the weather and a sensory garden with a bridge, water trough pond, fragrant and native plantings.

All riding and handling is overseen by a coach and horse manager, aided by trained volunteers.

Safety is a huge focus and there a strict procedures followed to ensure horses are safe to ride, gear is checked and equipment properly fitted and each rider is assisted by the coach to mount and ride off safely.

RDA receives no government funding and we rely on the generosity of community organizations and philanthropic individuals.
